What is Fiqh al-Taḥawwulāt?

Islam has given great attention to the understanding of stages and to the history of nations and peoples. This combined field of study has been termed Fiqh al-Taḥawwulāt — the Understanding of Transformations — and the Knowledge of the Signs of the Hour.
This science maps the future — outlining what will arise concerning governance, knowledge, and moral stances — and reveals the soundness or corruption of successive stages throughout history. It is a textual study giving primary attention to the authoritative scriptural texts, treating them as the foundation for interpreting life in all its dimensions.
Our need for this science today has become greater than our need for water, food, and medicine — for within this science lies the remedy for all the breaches through which discord has entered among those who pray.
